Review:

"There isn't a lot written on the subject of Roller Derby. As a matter of fact, there isn't much written in this book, Roller Derby Classics. However what little is written is not only entertaining, it gives a brief background into this author's career as a Roller Derby skater & referee. It also has an introduction (A Rather Colorful One!) written by Ann Calvello, and it's as though she is standing next to you, in a conversation!"

I am not disappointed by Fitzpatrick's work to make this book possible for every person interested in Roller Derby! It is worth every penny!

Review:

"The most professional photo essay ever published about the entire sport covering over six decades. A great collectors item. Fits nicely on your coffee table."

Review:

"Bordner gives us the exciting story of one woman's rise to fame in Roller Babes in the 1950's, a time when such things were unheard of. This entertaining read will take you back to the all-girls roller derby sub-culture. Read about the struggle of Lottie as she rises from a poor Bronx neighborhood into stardom as a Roller Derby Queen. Her amazing spirit and determination inspire you and you won't be able to put this book down. This book is vividly real and a compelling read."

The Rollerball Movies.

The Rollerball story predicts a future where mega corporations own everything, including sports franchises. Some would say, that prediction has come true. The original movie stars James Caan and many roller derby skaters are hired for the stunt work. Another 2-star Rollerball movie appears in the 1990s. Own a DVD or movie poster.

A movie was produced featuring Thunderbird (RGI) skaters and one sexy Raquel Welch. The name of the movie, Kansas City Bomber. The movie has a cheesy 1970's plot, but Requel is racked!
