However what little is written is not only entertaining, it gives a brief background into this author's career as a Roller Derby skater & referee. I am not disappointed by Fitzpatrick's work to make this book possible for every person interested in Roller Derby! It is worth every penny!

This movie has brief opening scene with stunt skaters like Laura Weintraub, Gwen Miller and Stacey Blitch while the camera centers in on Cameron Diaz as a T-Bird. Laura and Stacey are called back by the producers to appear as extras in a beach scene.

 

1950:    Fireball - Movie.

 

A 1950s serious film with a heart-warming plot staring Mickey Rooney. Mickey's stunt skater is played by Roller Derby's great, BERT WALL. This is a collectors gem.

World Roller Federation.

 

In 1989 to 1990, a league named the WRF (World Roller Federation) shot and produced 12 television shows and one hell of a promotional video titled ROLLER DERBY WARS. The league incorporated the best of Roller Games and Roller Derby skaters. The TV shows aired in over twenty-five large cities on independent stations.
